The engine arrangement group covers the parts that mount and dress the engine as an assembly rather than the engine internals: engine mounts and isolators, belts and tensioners, pulleys, guards, brackets, and the plumbing that connects the engine to the rest of the machine. It is the interface layer, so its failures usually show up as vibration, belt squeal or a component that will not stay aligned. Worn isolators transmit vibration into the frame and fatigue nearby brackets; a tired tensioner lets the belt slip and takes the alternator or water pump with it. Parts are replaced when vibration at idle becomes noticeable or a belt starts tracking off its pulley.
