The undercarriage group covers tracks, shoes, links, bushings, rollers, idlers, sprockets, track tensioners and the recoil hardware. It carries the whole machine weight and transmits drive force to the ground, and it is normally the single largest wear cost on a tracked machine. Wear is a system: a worn sprocket accelerates chain wear, a loose track pounds the bushings, and a seized roller flat-spots the link it runs on. System Notes — FUEL SYSTEM
